We have all heard of the terms: fashion, taste, elegance, style yet we all have different perceptions of what they mean. Including designers. I’m going to have a go at defining some of our lingo myself.

Coco Chanel – “Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future.”

Giorgio Armani – “Elegance is not standing out, but being remembered.”

Eleanor Jackson – “Elegance is a ora, an independence, and a simplistic effortless presence.”

Oscar De La Renta -“Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.”

Eleanor Jackson – “Style is your flare, your take on what everyone else is doing. It doesn’t disappear with the seasons or trends. It has longevity”
